Privacy policy

Last updated: May 2026. Here is how qresta.site handles your information when you create a QR code.

Controller

bayata operates qresta.site. For privacy questions, email privacy@qresta.site.

QR payloads (local encoding)

Links, text, WiFi details, and contact fields you enter are turned into a QR code with JavaScript in your browser. We do not intentionally send that content to our servers to build the image. PNG downloads are created on your device.

Server logs

Like most websites, hosting infrastructure may record technical data (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and operations. Retention follows our hosting provider’s standard log rotation.

Cookies and similar technologies

Lawful bases (EEA/UK)

Consent for non-essential cookies and tags; legitimate interests for security logging and service availability; contractual necessity where applicable for infrastructure providers.

International transfers

Google services may process data in the United States and other countries. Google provides appropriate safeguards as described in their documentation.

Retention

Consent preferences remain until you clear site data or change choices in the cookie banner. Analytics and ad data retention is governed by Google’s settings and our configuration.

Your rights

Depending on your location (including GDPR), you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, and port personal data, and to withdraw consent. Contact privacy@qresta.site. You may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
